Tickets range in price from $10 to $120 according to the distance being traveled. Tickets cost less the closer distance and shorter the time traveled. We have a formula that determines the price per ticket based off of the type of bus that is used and the distance the bus must travel.
Yes, anyone can start a demand for a bus trip for free. BusBookie only requires you to pay for a ticket after the demand has 20 or more people who have joined.
If a Demand does not reach 20 people by the day of departure, the demand will be cancelled. All travelers who have purchased tickets will be refunded completely. However, if you are a member of a Demand and you really want the trip to go through you can purchase multiple tickets to ensure a bus is booked.
BusBookie offers a few ways to purchase tickets. You can purchase tickets online through PayPal. You can pay the day of the trip in cash at our pick-up points.
You can only return your ticket up until 2 business days before the trip’s departure date. This includes any tickets purchased on weekends. You may not return your ticket if you have purchased it 2 or less days before the trip’s departure date. To return any ticket, email support@busbookie.com or call (845)649-6272 and BusBookie will reimburse you.
Refunds are available after a purchase has been made up until 2 days before the departure date of the trip.
Yes. Free tickets are actually free. If the ticket price says free, the trip is free on the basis that you still print out your ticket to show upon entrance of the bus.

After 20 or more people purchase a ticket for a Demand, the bus for that Demand will be booked and the Demand will be referred to as a Trip. An e-mail notification will be sent to all members of the trip that a bus will be booked. There must always be at least 20 people on the trip. If members decide at least 2 days before the trip that they do not want to go, another e-mail will be sent to notify all members that there is no longer enough demand to book the trip.
BusBookie is backed by the insurance of the bus companies it uses. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) can be provided upon customer request to ensure validity. The payment gateway on our website keeps your information secure throughout the entire paying process.
On any login screen click the "Lost Password" link to have it sent to your email again.
Make sure to bring with you Photo Identification and your BusBookie ticket. BusBookie only allows one medium sized suitcase per traveler as well. We define medium sized at our discretion. Any other travel supplies are not guaranteed and you may be asked to leave anything in excess behind.
You can print or reprint your tickets when you click ’My Account’ which is located in the top right corner of the home page after you sign in. The links to all your trips are located on the right hand side.
